Where do you actually paraglide near Pune?
There is no flying site inside Pune city. Almost all paragliding near Pune happens at Kamshet, a small town between Lonavala and Talegaon. The hills around Kamshet catch steady, predictable wind from the Pawna valley, which is why it has been India's paragliding training hub for over two decades.
Our take-off sites include Tower Hill (gentle slopes, ideal for first-time flyers) and Shelar Hill (higher launch, longer flights). We choose the site each day based on wind direction so you get the safest and longest flight possible.
How to reach Kamshet from Pune
- By car or bike: Take the old Mumbai–Pune highway (NH48) via Wakad, Dehu Road and Talegaon. Kamshet is about 49 km from Pune city and roughly 35–40 km from Hinjewadi, so plan for 1–1.5 hours.
- By train: Pune–Lonavala local trains stop at Kamshet station. From the station our meeting point near Rangoli Hotel is a short auto-rickshaw ride.
- From the flying site: We transfer you from the meeting point to the take-off hill in 4x4 jeeps, as the last stretch is off-road.
